Bill, Paige, and I welcomed our adorable son/brother on January 15th!! He was born at 6:56 pm. He weighed 6 lbs 11 ounces and was 19 1/2 inches long. I began have contractions on Monday, January 13th so I went to the hospital. They monitored me and after 3 hours, Dr. Williams decided to keep me over night. He wanted to see if I could progress on my own before inducing us. Tuesday the 14th was a LLLLOOONNGG day!! I started to progress and so Dr. Williams decided to start pitocin around 2 pm. The contractions kicked in boy was i feeling it! Unfortunately, I was not progressing and baby was still too high up for Dr. Williams to break my water. Finally around 8 pm Dr. Williams ordered an epidural for me in order for my body to calm down and so I could sleep. I feel asleep around 10 pm and woke up 2 hours later completely uncomfortable. Needless to say I had an extremely rough and sleepless night! I though my family had all left but I learned in the morning my sisters and Aunty Laurie slept in the waiting room the whole night!! What troopers. Wednesday the 15th was more of a waiting game. Dr. Williams finally broke my water around 4 pm and I went from a 6to 10 in 2 hours. I started pushing around 6 pm and finally had our sweet boy at 6:56 pm!! My labor was long but well worth the wait and pain!!
